:- 3.0 out of 5 stars from Albert -- Not enough photos. : I love Helena and what she brings to the table. However I found this book a bit lacking, in not only the way she ends her thoughts. But also the lack of photos. It’s hard to fully understand how something is put together without images. Some of the photos are drawn out and aren’t Actual photos of real live things. I understand for not every recipe or DIY can you add a photo. But she doesn’t show a step by step photo of anything. The most frustrating ones are her Mushroom and Witch hats. You need to see what’s happening under the finished product and you don’t get that in this book. If you are looking for step by step with photos, this isn’t the DIY book for you. I enjoy the mixture of Helena's baking goodness alongside handmade crafts & costumes, herbal remedies for everyday health, and home décor. The images are wonderfully done. I loved that Helena had a section on the old folk magic at the start and how useful the remedies actually were. I love the history of these things so was so happy to see that. The apparel tutorials were so well thought out and detailed and I loved the homeware! It can be hard to find appropriately witchy home goods and the ideas were fantastic.
